OPEN TO ALL, REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Come celebrate the history of your clothes at the McCord Stewart Museum as part of Montréal Fashion Week 2024, September 18 from 5:30 to 9:30 pm.

The Costume, Fashion and Textiles collection includes over 28,000 garments and accessories made or worn mainly in Montreal over the past three centuries. It covers all aspects of women's, men's and children's fashion from the 19th and 20th centuries. Some of our garments carry in their fibers the history of our family, our cultural baggage, the nostalgia of a significant event or the familiarity of everyday use, decade after decade.

And you, which of your clothes carry a special meaning? Which piece(s) would you include in a museum collection to bear witness to your history?

Each of our garments will tell its own unique story during a festive evening at the Museum on Wednesday, September 18, starting at 5:30pm:

  • Tell the story of your garment
Go to the polling booth and tell us about a special memory related to the piece you've chosen to wear for the evening.
Your story could be selected to appear on the Museum's website and YouTube channel!

  • 6 p.m.: Join Lolitta Dandoy, fashion journalist and host of Tout le monde s'habille, for a discussion onexpressing identity through clothing.

  • 7:30 p.m.: Lolitta Dandoy, store ambassador , creates trendy looks live. Chaînon and stylistMlle Geriusing second-hand clothes from the Chaînon store. Chaînon store.
