Rethinking Fashion: The Challenges and Future of Apparel Resale

The second-hand market is set to surpass disposable fashion by 2028, according to a 2019 study by Thred Up. Luxury group Kering has invested heavily in resale in recent years, notably in platform Vestiaire Collective. What do these changes mean for Canada, and how can textile and apparel companies adapt to these emerging realities?

This is what the panel of experts will explore, tackling crucial issues such as the challenges of the value chain, the sorting, maintenance and sustainability of resale platforms, and the impact of this market on the traditional fashion industry.

On September 17, 2024, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, join us as we dive into the challenges and opportunities of the clothing resale market, a fast-growing sector that's redefining the way we consume.

The expert panel will be followed by a networking session, offering a unique opportunity to exchange views with fashion and resale industry professionals.
