Following research undertaken over the past year to establish the fleece characteristics of local sheep breeds, Fibreshed Québec will present the results obtained during this half-day study session, as well as the avenues that have emerged and that the study group will be taking in the coming months to promote eco-responsible, local fashion. This event was presented at the Redpath Museum / McGill University as part of the exhibition Gloria algae. Les algues marines du Québec by Marcelle Gauvreau, an artistic and scientific project paying homage to her, already heralds a line of thought that Fibreshed Québec will be undertaking in the near future, and which will also be discussed.
