Createdby the nonprofit organization Toi, t’en penses quoi ?, in collaboration with Cégep Marie-Victorin, the innovative and multidisciplinary project “Personnalité¹⁰” combines art, mental health, and fashion design to raise public awareness about relationship issues and personality disorders. Mélanie Truong, a family physician and fashion design student, is the project’s founder, supported by a team.

On September 26, we invite you to a roundtable discussion and an exhibition of textile creations.

Fashion design students at Cégep Marie-Victorin, along with professional designers, are each creating a unique garment to interpret one of the ten personality spectra studied in the field of mental health. The project promotes a nuanced understanding, without romanticizing suffering or caricaturing the various experiences or diagnoses that could contribute to stigma. More broadly, Personnalité¹⁰ is an invitation to immerse oneself in a world designed to foster a better understanding of the diversity of personalities that shape our society. The project is supervised by doctors, psychiatrists, and psychologists, and developed in collaboration with individuals with lived experience. This team is essential to ensuring a respectful and hopeful representation, centered on self-determination and empowerment.
