As part of Montreal Fashion Week, La Fibre.Atelier is hosting designer Joëlle Paquette for a residency focused on upcycling. Over the course of two days, Joëlle will transform secondhand clothing into a one-of-a-kind piece, giving the public a chance to discover her creative process and the full potential of textile upcycling.
The residency will culminate in a panel discussion on upcycling and circular fashion. Various speakers—including Joëlle Paquelle, designer; Clara Legault, Senior Director of Communications, Marketing, and Public Affairs at Renaissance; and Andréanne Demers, Senior Influencer Marketing Consultant at Canidé—will share their perspectives on ways to extend the life of clothing, repurpose existing items, and, more broadly, rethink our relationship with fashion.
